How it started
In 2025, Leroy Roker, a former high school basketball player and athlete of the year is from Fort Myers, Florida, set out to create something that would forever change the way young children approached the game of basketball. After recognizing a gap in quality programs for kids under the age of 10, Leroy founded Little Dribblers, a basketball training program designed specifically for the youngest athletes.
Growing up in Fort Myers, Leroy developed a deep love for basketball, playing the game through his high school years. But it was his experience that helped him realize something crucial: there was a lack of structured, age-appropriate basketball programs that focused on the fundamentals while also fostering a love for the sport. With his entrepreneurial spirit and a passion to inspire the next generation, Leroy set out to change that.
"Basketball gave me so much growing up. It taught me discipline, teamwork, and how to set goals," Leroy says. "I wanted to provide kids with the same foundation, but in a way that was fun, accessible, and tailored to their age."
A New Era of Youth Basketball
In 2025, with a vision in mind, Leroy launched Little Dribblers with the goal of offering high-quality, age-specific training that not only focused on developing fundamental basketball skills, but also emphasized the importance of fitness, health, and well-being.
From the very beginning, Leroy’s passion is clear: he isn't just building a basketball program—he's creating a community. Little Dribblers is designed to instill the same values he learned on the court: perseverance, teamwork, respect, and, most importantly, the joy of playing. He knows that kids who start young, with the right guidance and encouragement, would develop a lifelong love for both the sport and a healthy lifestyle.
